All of our products are sourced from all around the world. Because of this many costs are implied per unit such as but not limited to shipping, customs import fees, and other various forms of overhead. 

We maintain some of, if not the lowest prices compared to our competitors, and general market value when considering exotic beverages and snacks. 

However, we understand that some are snacking on a budget, and we are constantly innovating to bring prices down, whether that means changes in the supply chain, or daily operation, we are doing our best daily to bring customers the best prices on exotic and regional sodas and snacks.

First off what does the box entail?

• Our boxes are packed with drinks and snacks, many times exceeding the price of the box itself. 
• We send the same box to every customer each month, allowing us to make sure you are not receiving too many repeat items. 
• Subscription boxes will sometimes include items specifically bought for our subscribers, meaning you will get exclusives not otherwise available in store or online!

Here's how the logistics work:

• Please, keep in mind, one time purchases will ship out immediately, and are not subject to all applicable details regarding monthly subscriptions.
• All subscription charges process the same day you made your first order every month.
• Shipping is not included in the price of the box. We made this decision to allow our customers that want their boxes immediately to choose faster shipping options, as well as to allow customers on a tighter budget options for slower shipping speeds.
• Once a subscription is prepaid, there is no way to cancel your subscription. Please be sure the selected time period for a subscription will be a solid choice for your situation. 
• We will retry your card three times over a period of three days for any failed transactions. After this your subscription will automatically be canceled. Orders with failed payments will not be shipped until payment is successfully processed.

We started the Desert Drinks and Exotics rewards program to give back a little something to the recurring and loyal customers that keep us going!

To sign up, you must access our website from a desktop computer, you will not see the rewards launcher when accessing from a mobile phone. 

You can also sign up in store, just ask whoever is helping you at checkout!

Once Signed Up, you will earn 2 points per dollar spent. Save up these points to earn bigger and better rewards; it is essentially free money just for supporting your favorite exotics store!

To use points, make sure you are logged into your account on Desert-Drinks.com,. Click on the rewards bubble in the bottom right of the screen to see available rewards. Redeem a reward, and copy the discount code presented. You can use this code when checking out to receive the reward redeemed!

Please Note! Once a reward is selected we are unable to reverse this action. Please be sure of your selection before selecting a reward.

If you are checking out in store, just give our associate a piece of information from your rewards profile, and we will have the transaction added to your history so that you will receive your points!

Our rewards include $5 all the way to $20 off, Free Shipping, as well as percentage off rewards for when you make larger orders!

Here is a quick run down:

1. You place your order for delivery
2. The next delivery day, our driver will shoot you a text when they are delivering the order before yours. If you are the first delivery, they will let you know as they are leaving our location.
3. When the driver reaches your address, they will leave the order at your door, gate, mailbox, or area that is accessible to them. We encourage you to leave delivery instructions with your order if you would like it placed somewhere specific.
4. Our driver will snap a picture of your order in its place, send it over to you, and be on their way.
5. You enjoy some tasty snacks.

We delivery to any address within a 10 mile radius of our Phoenix AZ Location at 

1902 East Mcdowell Road, Phx, AZ 85006. 

We deliver orders Wednesday through Sunday on a next delivery-day delivery basis. 

For example, if you order Saturday, your order will be delivered Sunday. 

Orders placed Sunday will be grouped with Wednesday deliveries. 

In the event that your order is eligible to be delivered same day for any reason, we will deliver it with that days deliveries.

Our in-store pickup option is available for those that would like to pay before coming in, and just pick up their order without the hassle of in-store checkout.

This also offers a key advantage for those that would like to claim limited supply, or almost out of stock items that we may have. 

In order to use in-store pickup, at the “information” portion of checkout, rather than entering your shipping address click the pickup tab to the right and continue your order for in store pickup. Please note that you CANNOT use accelerated checkout methods such as Apple Pay when opting for in store pickup.

You will receive email or text confirmation of your order in addition to confirmation when your order is ready to be picked up. Please remember to bring a photo ID matching the cardholder name and the name on the order. Orders with mismatching info must either provide both identifications or accept a refund. 

If orders go unclaimed for more than two weeks, your order will be refunded and put back onto the floor. 

All shipping prices are returned using the respective carriers APIs to ensure the most accurate shipping cost. We do cap small orders that are able to be shipped USPS priority at a couple of flat price points to help curb some of the shipping costs for our customers.

We will refund all over-payments due to shipping, as we are constantly working on our algorithm to bring cheaper shipping rates to our customers.

We are also happy to offer free shipping to orders over $75 and under 100Lbs in total weight.

Please keep in mind, we will use boxes on hand and available for any orders requiring us to do so.

Orders $50 plus will receive 25% off their ground shipping automatically at checkout.

Orders $100 plus will receive 50% off their ground shipping automatically at checkout.

Orders over $150 dollars in value, and under 100Lbs will receive free ground shipping via the cheapest carrier option available for the order. Tracking information will be provided to the customer as any other order would when it becomes available for your order.

Orders over $150 in value but exceeding 100Lbs will receive a discounted ground shipping option at checkout.

We reserve the right to cancel any order receiving free shipping

Do not select this option at checkout. 

If you are using a PO box for your recieving address, UPS will not be an available shipping option. 

We use bubble wrap for all glass products. When packaging soda and snacks together, we will always fill all additional space with packing peanuts or bubble wrap to ensure things do not shift and damage your snacks. For larger orders of chips and snacks with large amounts of beverages, we will always do our best to ensure all snacks and drinks go in separate packages.

If temperatures in your location, or throughout transit are above 73 Fahrenheit, goods may arrive slightly damaged. Our processing period is defined as 3-5 business days sans Mondays and Holidays. 

Shipments go out everyday that pickup is offered by the carrier, sans Mondays.

For USPS this means pickups are Tuesday through Saturday, as the post office does not operate on Sundays.

For UPS this means pickups are Tuesday through Friday, as UPS does not conduct pickups on the weekends.

Tracking information will be sent directly to the email address you provide at checkout, as well as your phone number provided when applicable. 

These emails will have a link to access your order page, where you can see the individual tracking status and information for every package in your order, as well as what items to expect in each package.

All items will be processed within 3-5 business days of order finalization pending any delays. Please keep in mind Desert Drinks & Exotics is closed Mondays and packages will not be processed or shipped these days. If there are any problems pre-shipment Desert Drinks and Exotics will attempt to contact the customer.

Unfortunately, we do not offer wholesale at this time.

On our social media pages we post discount codes a couple of times a month. 

Through the Desert Drinks & Exotics App, we send notifications packed with exclusive savings for those supporting our application. 

Through the Desert Drinks Text Club we send out specials, discounts, and news straight to your phone!

When using an accelerated payment method on our application or web store, please be sure to check that you are providing the correct shipping information. When using an accelerated payment method, our system will take all of your order information (Name, shipping and billing address, etc) from the information provided by the method used rather than that entered into the fields at checkout. 

For example, if you have your shipping address field filled within your Apple Pay digital wallet, and choose to use Apple Pay at checkout, we will pull the shipping address provided by your digital wallet regardless of that provided at checkout. This holds true with PayPal, ShopPay and other checkout options.

It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure that the amount paid via the select crypto currencies we accept is inline with the exchange rates provided by our Crypto Currency checkout provider, Coinbase Commerce. 

We are unable to cover fees involved with return payments due to over, or under payments caused by inaccurate coin transfers that do not align with the exchange rates provided by Coinbase Commerce. Please ensure your crypto amount is correct before checking out during every transaction. 

The average case of soda (24 bottles) weighs anywhere from 28-42 pounds. Taking weight into account, this leads to a high shipping cost. Nine times out of ten we have to send this weight not only across the US, but across entire oceans.

Suppliers load these heavy packages onto planes, which have higher fuel costs. Shipping providers also take into account the dimensions of the package, labor for employees involved in transport, and many other logistical factors.

Between the months of August and December we incurred approximately $107 thousand dollars of overhead costs in 2019 alone. In a perfect world we would have made enough to cover that cost, but every business experiences growing pains. We are still working towards being in the "green" everyday, while continuing to invest into more products so we can pay our personal bills. Starting a business is not easy, and unfortunately it is nowhere near cheap, with tons of unexpected costs such as credit card processing, POS/Website fees, and utilities.

Labor is a major factor involved in our retail pricing. Everyone in the process takes a portion of the end costs;

• Post Carriers.
• Our suppliers overseas.
• Soda manufacturers.
• Shop keepers (Us).

Some products we stock in our store are extremely limited. Whether the bottleneck is in the country it originates from, or in the ability of our team to secure the product, some items are only available in small quantities. Limited availability drives up costs on our end, and unfortunately on the retail end as well.

Taxes are one of the most frustrating things to a small business owner. Not only do we pay taxes on what we earn, but we also pay taxes on the items we import and sell. Customs fees are sometimes as high as $250 on a single case of soda. That adds up to more than $10 of additional cost per soda.

Claims made for broken or damaged products will be covered through post carrier insurance and the customer must make a claim through their accompanying website. 

All damages are to be handled through the parcel service selected, or additionally purchased protection, and the customer agrees to this when using our services.

 If any items are returned to sender due to damage, the undamaged items will be refunded to the customer and we will start a claim for damaged products. Upon conclusion of the claim we will refund the awarded amount back to the customer. The customer is encouraged to complete the claim on their side as to cut down on claim processing time, as we must receive the package in question before we are able to proceed. Shipping charges are non-refundable in any and all circumstances. 

All glass bottle sodas are ordered at the customers discretion and the customer understands that once the bottles leave the hands of the DD&E team we are no longer liable for damage that takes place in transit. If an order with a glass bottle is damaged please contact your shipping carrier.

Any return shipments processed at the customers request are the responsibility of that customer. Desert Drinks & Exotics is not liable for return postage, insurance fees, or any loss or damages that may occur in transit to our facilities.

All limited edition, seasonal, or otherwise foreign sodas, beverages, and snacks are purchased at the customers discretion and the customer understands that some of these items, due to their limited nature as well as importation process, hold a possibility of expiration or loss of carbonation. Due to the collectible nature of our items, Products are not guaranteed to be within expiration periods, and in most cases will see discounts in the event items currently on hand have expired or gone past their best by date. Please contact us directly for information on current product dating. Returns are accepted for items returned in original condition. Contact us directly to inquire.

Carbonation loss can be caused by change in elevation and temperature as carbonation is caused by a gas. Your package will undergo both changes in temperature and elevation during transport. Desert Drinks cannot be held liable for damages or changes to the product as a result of postal transit. Please contact your shipping carrier for insurance and reimbursement matters involving only damaged items as expiration or loss of carbonation is a risk understood by the customer.

All items will be processed within 3-5 business days of order finalization pending any delays. Please keep in mind Desert Drinks & Exotics is closed Mondays and packages will not be processed or shipped these days. If there are any problems pre-shipment Desert Drinks and Exotics will attempt to contact the customer.

If any items are out of stock we will refund the customer to their method of payment immediately. For all other information please see our FAQ section for shipping specifically.

Any orders returned due to incomplete or wrong addresses can be reshipped at the customers expense. Otherwise, we are able to refund the cost of the products returned once they are in our possession. 

All orders eligible for upgraded service without additional fee will be upgraded at no cost to the customer in an effort to deliver packages as fast as possible.

All damages are to be handled through the parcel service selected and the customer agrees to this when using our services. If any items are returned to sender due to damage, the undamaged items will be refunded to the customer and we will start a claim for damaged products. Upon conclusion of the claim we will refund the awarded amount back to the customer. The customer is encouraged to complete the claim on their side as to cut down on claim processing time, as we must receive the package in question before we are able to proceed. Shipping charges are non-refundable in any and all circumstances. 

As the weather heats up every season, it becomes more difficult to guarantee chocolate and other melt-able goods will arrive in good condition. If temperatures in your location, or throughout transit are above 73 Fahrenheit, goods may arrive slightly damaged. At temperatures above 82 Fahrenheit, the products are susceptible to melting in transit. We cannot be held responsible for any temperature-related damages caused during shipping.
